Join Haven now“This program has truly made a difference for me. It gave me a clear and consistent system for studying English. Most importantly, I overcame my fear of speaking.”
Olena, a Haven student from Ukraine

Most English programs weren't built for you.
Classes of 20–30 students mean your teacher barely knows your name. Schedules conflict with work and family. And you rarely get to practice with real Canadians — the only way to build real confidence.
We designed Haven to make learning as easy as possible.
Flexible schedule
Classes run evenings and weekends to fit around your life.
Personalized learning
Classes of 1 to 4 students — your teacher knows your goals.
English for life in Canada
Learn practical English through classes and real conversations with Canadians.

“My classes are focused on topics that actually matter to newcomers. I love to see the big improvements students make after 20 weeks.”
Lidia, a Haven teacher in Montreal
Give us 20 weeks. We'll change your English.
Most Haven students see a measurable improvement in their English — at least one CLB level in Speaking or Listening — after completing the 20-week program.
Here's what 20 weeks looks like:
2 hours of classes
With your professional teacher, online.
2 hours of conversation practice
With your Canadian volunteers.
2+ hours of homework
Personalized materials from your teacher.
That's 6 hours a week. Less than an hour a day.
$2.50 - $7.50
per class, depending on your situation.
That's only $5 to $15 per week.
We charge a small fee to ensure commitment — our program works best when students show up. If you can't commit right now, you can still practice your English with volunteers for free.
Are you eligible?
Haven is for newcomers fleeing conflict who are living in Canada.
This includes refugees, refugee claimants, arrivals under Canadian humanitarian programs (such as CUAET holders and evacuees from Gaza), and newcomers from other conflict-affected countries.
If you're not sure if you qualify, try signing up — we'll help you figure it out.
